Terms of Service

Brew Element is a specialty coffee roastery at 214 Alder Street, Portland, OR 97204, selling roasted coffee and brew gear through this online store. Placing an order or creating an account means you accept these terms; if you don't agree with them, please don't use the store.

The store is intended for personal, non-commercial purchases within the United States. For wholesale, email hello@brewelement.shop.

An account is optional — guest checkout works fine. If you create one, keep your details accurate and your password to yourself; activity under your login is your responsibility.

We may suspend or close accounts used for fraud, abuse, or interference with the store, and you can ask us to delete your account at any time.

Your order is an offer to buy; it's accepted when we send the order confirmation email with your invoice number. Until your order ships, we may cancel and fully refund it for reasons such as stock errors, a failed payment, or suspected fraud — we'll always tell you why.

Stock levels shown in the shop are honest and live; if something sells out between your cart and checkout, the checkout re-check will catch it before you pay.

All prices are in US dollars. The total shown at checkout — subtotal, shipping, and any coupon discount — is the full amount you pay, and the same numbers appear on your confirmation.

We accept Visa, Mastercard, and American Express via Stripe, plus PayPal and cash on delivery. If a price is listed in obvious error, we may cancel the affected order and refund you in full before it ships.

Coupon codes apply one per order, may carry a minimum order amount, and have no cash value. Promotions can end or change, but a code already applied to a confirmed order is always honored.

Shipping methods, costs, and timelines are described on the Shipping & Returns page and shown in your cart before you pay. We currently ship within the United States only. Please make sure the delivery address is correct — re-shipping a package returned over a wrong address may incur the standard shipping fee again.

Our return policy — 30 days on unopened gear, replacement or refund for coffee that arrives damaged or tastes off — is part of these terms and lives on the Shipping & Returns page. Refunds go back to the original payment method within 5 business days of receiving the return.

Don't use the store to:

• place fraudulent orders or use payment details that aren't yours,
• scrape, overload, or interfere with the site or other customers,
• resell our products commercially without a wholesale agreement.

The Brew Element name, wordmark, photography, and the text on this site belong to us or our licensors. You're welcome to share it; you may not use it commercially without written permission.

We work hard to keep the store accurate and available, but it is provided "as is" — occasional errors and downtime happen. To the extent the law allows, our liability for any claim related to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.

Nothing in these terms limits rights that consumer law gives you and that cannot be waived, or our liability for matters the law doesn't allow us to limit.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, USA. Before anything formal, talk to us — almost every problem is solved with one email.

We may update these terms as the store evolves; the current version always lives here with its date at the top. Orders are governed by the terms in force when you placed them.
